Cory Huber

Unlicensed Design Staff I

Cory was drawn to architecture by her interest in sustainable design, her passion for art and creative expression, and her background in science. She received her Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University in 2010. Cory also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Colorado State University and has a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Professionally, she is fascinated by early structures of indigenous people around the world, particularly how these buildings work with the environment as a part of the landscape, as a means of informing modern sustainable design strategies. Much of her thesis work applied these design strategies common in arid environments.

In 2011, Cory moved to Pocatello, Idaho with her family. She joined JHS in 2012 and is responsible for preparation of design development and construction documents. Drafting and 3D modeling make up the better part of her work and she has become skilled with ARCHICAD, in both its 2D and 3D capacities, and has helped bring BIM (Building Information Modeling) into JHS’s standard workflow.

Outside work, Cory enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, creative writing, and being active in the community.
