R. Keeven Shropshire, AIA
Artistic and creative talent has been a major motivator in the career of Keeven Shropshire, Principal and Director of Design for JHS Architects, P.A. since 1997. A philosophy of efficient creative design and attention to detail are paramount to his success in architecture.
Deriving inspiration of proportion and scale from the many sketches of European travels, particularly the Italian Renaissance architecture of Florence, Italy, Keeven transforms that context into an individualized modern expression for each client’s unique character. His primary objective is designing form and function simultaneously with the local vernacular, often with a twist out of the ordinary.
Another inspiration for Keeven comes from experiencing the outdoors. Whether skiing, hunting, fly fishing, or floating the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, or simply watching most every sunset from the decks of his home, Keeven always takes a few quiet moments to take in the magnificence and beauty of his surroundings.
Keeven has always stayed connected to his profession and community. Being a member of the firm in Pocatello since 1988, this area has become home; thus his dedication to improving the community through his being a Hearing Examiner for the City of Pocatello since 1999, President of his Rotary Club, on several Boards of Directors for both the University of Idaho and Idaho State University.
