Latecia Herzog, AIA
Junior Principle, Partner
With a strong focus in Art & Interior Design, Latecia received a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho in 1999; she began working as an intern with JHS Architects that same year. In 2005 she established her own residential practice, L-Designs Architects, LLC. She then rejoined JHS in 2010 and became a partner in 2012, but concurrently runs her Residential architecture firm. Latecia focuses designs in the 3-Dimensional drawing environment. She is involved in the organization & coordination of projects, assists in the assembly of construction documents, photo realistic renderings and presentation drawings, construction admin, and office management.
Latecia is a registered architect in the State of Idaho and holds an NCARB© certificate. She served on the AIA Idaho Eastern Section executive board in 2013 as Treasurer, President-Elect and is currently President. She has been a member of the Pocatello Historic Preservation Commission since 2001 and has served as the chair four times.
A true appreciation of the outdoors has come from her upbringing. Being a native of Pocatello, Idaho, Latecia was raised doing numerous summer and winter activities. Caring for and raising all types of animals was ingrained at an early age; however, she now limits her rearing to dogs. Traveling is a passion that Latecia would like to do more of, but feels lucky to have been able to visit and experience places like Greece, Italy, Yugoslavia, Austria, Hungary, and Germany to name a few, all of which she hopes to visit again. She also aspires to drive Route 66’s entire length someday soon.
Latecia and her husband live in a historic home with their two dogs and enjoy hiking, biking, white water rafting, camping and skiing.
