JHS Architects, P.A. is seeking a Senior Project Architect who is self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of working independently while also supporting project teams, office staff, and firm partners. What You’ll Do
Project Leadership & Document Quality
You will help lead projects through strong technical execution and team coordination, including:
- Supporting the assembly and production of construction documents
- Maintaining document quality and continuity across project files and applications
- Providing quality assurance throughout project development
- Supporting project teams on large or small complex projects across multiple phases
Consultant Coordination & Team Support
This role also requires strong coordination and communication skills, including:
- Supporting coordination and workflows between project teams and external consultants
- Assisting with team leadership across multiple active projects
- Helping oversee a small but versatile team working on multiple deadlines at once
Full-Phase Architectural Practice
The role is expected to support or contribute across the full architectural process, including:
- Pre-design, conceptual design, and design development
- Construction documents
- Budgeting and RFP-related work
- Construction observation and site inspections
- Monitoring safety and code / accessibility compliance
- Construction administration support
What We’re Looking For
Required Background
Qualified candidates should have:
- A BS Arch, BArch, or MArch from an accredited architecture school, or equivalent experience with significant relevant background
- 5+ years of experience in an architectural, planning, and similar practice environment
- Architecture license
- Strong working knowledge of construction documents, and project coordination
- Experience working across multiple project phases with a strong technical foundation
Required Technical Abilities
Candidates should also be comfortable with:
- CAD / BIM workflows in architectural production
- Training and support in design technology environments
Helpful / Preferred Qualifications:
The following are beneficial, but not required:
- Archicad experience
- Familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications
