In joint collaboration, Jackson Land Design (Bill Jackson, Landscape Architect) and JHS designed this very significant facility to the Pocatello Region. The Portneuf Wellness Complex was built to enhance and improve the health of Southeast Idaho.

Some of the active play elements the complex offers are Six (6) new multi-use sports fields that include multi-sport goal posts, two (2) basketball courts, four (4) championship quality sand volleyball courts, and an additional “Champion Field” that is reserved for championship games only. A 10’ wide paved walking path loops the entire complex, there is a CrossFit Playground for the children and a mountain bike park built into the existing terrain.

Five (5) restroom buildings were constructed, three (3) of the buildings were designed to include concessions to support the events held at the Complex. There are new parking lots for approximately 1000 vehicles and a man-made sustainable urban fishery consisting of a fully stocked, 7 acre lake with a stream for the Rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon to spawn.

Finally, a highly developed state-of-the-art Amphitheatre was commissioned to bring world class entertainment to Southeast Idaho. The Amphitheatre area can hold up to 11,000 guests. There is fixed seating for 2100 guests, V.I.P. seating for 160, manifest seating for 318 and open grass seating for an additional 8432 guests.

The Portneuf Wellness Complex is designed for all economic levels, all ages, and all abilities. It aspires to be a world class, unique facility to serve the broader community and the region.
